American Immigration Lawyers Association

Arizona Chapter

Founded in 1946, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is a national bar association of attorneys who practice and teach immigration law. AILA Member attorneys represent tens of thousands of U.S. businesses and industries, foreign students, entertainers, athletes, and asylum seekers, often on a pro bono basis. AILA is an Affiliated Organization of the American Bar Association.

Arizona has five climate zones and there are members of the Arizona Chapter in every zone. Most of our members are located in the metro areas of Phoenix and Tucson, only 120 miles apart. However, we have a growing membership outside of these areas including the northern Arizona city of Flagstaff, the historic cities of Florence and Prescott and the border gateways of Nogales and Yuma.

Arizona's long border with Mexico ensures that immigration issues are always a hot topic at every level of government and with the media. Arizona is home to immigration courts in Phoenix and Tucson, as well as two additional immigration courts in the ICE detention centers in Eloy and Florence.

Further information about becoming an AILA member can be obtained by contacting the AILA National Office at www.aila.org or by calling 202-216-2400.
